Gillespie (13-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) hasn’t competed since suffering his first professional defeat back at UFC 244 in November 2019. He lost to Kevin Lee via first-round knockout. Gillespie currently sits at No. 15 in the UFC’s official lightweight rankings. New Zealand’s Riddell is looking to continue to build on his six-fight winning streak.
